Important Information on Tax and Import Duties
We aim for transparency with our international customers. Please be aware that tax and import duties are governed by the regulations of your destination country and customs union.
  • UK Customers: For most consignments under £135, we are required to charge UK VAT at the point of sale. For orders above this threshold, import VAT and customs duty may be collected by the courier or customs authority upon arrival.
  • USA Customers: All goods imported into the US are technically subject to duty and tax, regardless of value. Sales tax requirements also vary significantly by state ("nexus" rules), and in many cases, the seller or the online marketplace is required to collect this at the point of sale if specific transaction or revenue thresholds are met.
  • Europe Customers: When importing into the EU from the UK, import VAT and customs duties are generally due at the border. For consignments valued at €150 or less, we may use the Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme to collect VAT at the time of sale, simplifying delivery for you.
We cannot legally sell items without the potential for any tax or duty being applicable in the destination country. Our prices may be zero-rated for UK VAT on export, but local import taxes will still apply in the USA and EU.
